Here are some additional tips & tricks to make your potion party one that kids will remember!

🧪 Things You May Want to Include

  • Bowls & trays to display potion ingredients
  • Bottles for liquids (Dollar stores & thrift stores work great!)
  • Spoons, stir sticks, and popsicle sticks for stirring
  • Potion bowls for kids (empty jars & mason jars work great!)
  • Nature items (leaves, flowers, etc.) for extra fun

Depending on the size of your table, you may want to spread your potion ingredients out in a few different spots so everyone can reach them easily.

Try visiting local thrift stores & dollar stores to find unique bowls, jars, and fun containers to create a magical potion-making table!

✨ Potion Powders & Magic Fizzing Mix

Start with 1–2 scoops of Magic Potion Powder in a bowl, and add small amounts of water at a time.

  • You don’t need much powder to create a shimmering potion
  • Encourage kids to move slowly so ingredients last longer
  • Provide water on the table for mixing
  • Sprinkle small amounts of Magic Fizzing Mix (if included)

⚠️ A little goes a long way!

When adding glitter or dried flowers (if included), use small amounts. Holographic glitter can easily overpower a potion.

TIP: Place small amounts of each ingredient in several spots around the table so they last longer. Use trays under bowls to catch spills and avoid messes.

💧 Liquid Elixir Powders

Mix ½ tsp of powder into a pitcher or jar and add up to 32 oz of water.

TIP: More water = less shimmer. Start small and adjust to get the perfect magical glow!

Set elixirs out for kids to use or store them in beautiful bottles as keepsakes.

🥄 Stirring Tools

Use spoons, popsicle sticks, or similar tools for mixing.

Note: Fizzing powders and salts may irritate cuts or scrapes. Do not mix by hand.

🧴 Pipettes

Kids can use pipettes to transfer potions into jars or test tubes (if included).

🏺 Jars, Bottles & Pitchers

Look around your home for jars you can reuse for mixing or storing potions.

Visit thrift stores for unique bowls, jars, and decorative pieces to create a whimsical potion table.

Mix and match fun items for a magical setup – or keep it simple with disposable dishes!
